Over 1 lap the softs will always be faster but after 10 or 20 mins of usage, maybe the mediums get faster? Would be more interesting to test a long run on each tyre with tyre wear.

Small tip, when you're on formation lap, just activate your pit limiter. You'll be able to hold you pedal at 100% without worrying about speeding, and only have to press a button to disable pitlim at lights out. Might help in situations like Spa T1 also

Great Video! I bought the T300 with the T-LCM Loadcell Pedals. One last question: How are your FFB Settings in the Thrustmaster Control Panel (Damping, Spring etc.)? Did you activated the "Boost Mode"?

I went the other way around. I was an exclusive PC gamer and went to console. The #1 reason was PC cheaters. Cheating is rampant on PC in all competitive multiplayer games. Sure you can cheat on console, but it is much harder. Until they fix this problem, many players will ignore the PC. Just look what happened at the EA F1 championship, they figured 70% of the competitors were cheating. I'm pretty sure the other games are just as bad.

Not sure how valid this test is, you put a few laps in a cars you weren't familiar with on the meta setup, then a LOT of laps with the motec setup. How much difference was in the setups compared to just getting better in that car?

I did the switch 1,5 years ago (from PS5). Among some benefits like better FFB, additional apps, moooore titles to play...COMMUNITY was the biggest change for me. Sorry to tell you, console guys, but you deal with bunch of ahole kids on the grid. Driving ACC on console was constant sweat that some d-bag takes me out any moment while on PC people really want to race (maybe its just more mature crowd, maybe due to many lobbies banning idiots). Like Kryptic said, you dont need some powertrain PC (like I thought before). I got 3070, used but under warranty for 800$ 1,5 year ago and was able to run tripples on it! (Got sucked so much that just bought another PC last month, proper monster nachine this time) It's day and night, proper racing with defending etc vs strugling with frustration being taken out by some idiots as they think pushing you out from the corner in gt7 is overtaking

I made the switch from PS to PC two years ago. RTX3060ti, ryzen 5, 16gb ad bought it second hand. The only gaming I did and do is racing. Even I do not have the time to grind and practice a lot, I regret not switching earlier. The amount of content and communities are overwhelming.

Gt7 and psvr2 is plug and play and amazing, gives me all the racing fix I need. I also have zero interest in "setting up" a car, which are usually unrealstic to real life anyway. Do you think you are gonna go from iracing to the seat of a real car or something?

I switched from PS5 to PC this year even had to buy a new rig to work on PC. I picked up the Fanatec DD+ with the F1 Esports Wheel and the Club Sport V2 elite pedals. I can’t believe how much better the experience is on PC, I also now set up a Haptic system that feeds the feel of the road into my rig. I’m on iRacing mainly but I also do some Rennsport and AMS2. If you are a console guy like I was for 10 plus years switch it’s so worth it

Gawd, the elitists are out in force. Rubbing shoulders with 'better' drivers may be exciting for some, but ill stick with console and keep hsving fun. There's more to simracing than stats or oroving oneself against a oerceived standard.

Lol, my pace in iracing got better after GT7 😅 I wanted to try GT7, so i bought a PS5 and drive hub lol Idk, man. I own so many titles in PC, and honestly, I only now get on PC to get on, iracing my my cousin on the weekends. The only two titles atm that can give you racing after racing is ACC and iracing... Acc plays the same way it does on PC. it just looks crappy next to my PC Iracing, on the other hand, can be a good title, but i honestly dont recommend anyone to dump their hard earned money on building a PC just for iracing. Im actually in shocked on how good GT7 is 😅

Good talk man. I am still attached to my gran turismo, but I got a PC too, and I know where I go when I want to feel FEEL like I am in an actual race car.

Agree 100%. Bought a pc on Amazon for $600 bucks several years ago. It’s been great. So much more access to regular and consistent racing than Xbox which I used previously. I looked at a lot of the reviews for the games that were on the systems and saw which ones I would really want to play. After that, I looked for the minimum requirements for a good PC that could consistently run those specific games. That’s what I buy on. the PC holds up to this point. Now I’m not running motion or anything, but I do have surroundsound and other haptic devices set up with the PC. I have button boxes and some other displays as well. And it’s running triples. I was very nervous before I bought one, I can’t really eat at this point explain why, but I was. And at this point there would be no way I would go back to doing racing on an Xbox or PlayStation.

Sound advice my dude and especially now you can get a PC that can run ACC and LMU at decent settings for under £600

I'm very new to acc, I started with Honda at the begining and I really liked it until I tried 992, it felt very satisfying, later I tried 296 and since then I'm driving only 296, because I cannot match my laptimes with any other car, probably it mostly suits my driving style, but most rewarding and satisfying car to drive imo is 992 and I hope to master it one day.

I am no PC player and aint gonna be. So wasn’t looking into LMU, BUT , they decided to push the console version to increase there player pool, now i am really looking for it and its ffb and physic

Ferrari is the fastest GTE overall on LMU even with the large additional weight added to nerf it. It does eat through its tyres though so can suffer towards the end of the stint

Can someone explain the logic behind this? I change it from 900 to 480 cause i drive Mclaren and it only made me slower. It's now harder to steer into tight corners cause the wheel turns, but the car doesn't. I don't get it.

Not yet but once the LMGT3's are in game it will be a nice comparison.

LMU is amazing i personaly prefer it than ACC

I've been trying to get into it but I think my biggest complaint is sense of speed. It's so bad. I can't figure out a good view setting that does a proper job at conveying speed. The physics are ok. I still think outside of the uncontrollable slides, iracing is still king of that. But iracing needs to fix the penalty model. I love how you can actually race In lmu.

What i really loved in PC2 was the possibility to turn on ABS/TC for car classes that don't have them in real life. In my opinion the GTE cars were much better in that game than the GT3s, so i always created GTE lobbies with the possibility of use ABS for everyone who's not comfortable without it. That was a huge help for casual players.

LMU definitely seems to have potential but I'm not sold yet, also already putting out a paid DLC when even the base is so far from done is not a good look. A lot has to happen for this to replace ACC for me.

Speaking of the ABS changes between GTE and GT3 one thing to bear in mind is that the cars are very different, with the GTE cars being more of a silhouette type car. One example of the differences is that the Porsche 911 GTE RSR is classed as a mid-engined car, whereas the GT3 RS is a rear engined car. The GTE cars are all designed to not use ABS - they have completely different braking systems as well as wider front tyres and more downforce. The GT3 cars are designed from the ground up to use ABS. DTM was a silhouette touring car series without driver aids. When they switched to GT3 spec in '21 they looked at continuing to run the series without driver aids and soon found out that it wasn't just a case turning off the ABS, it would require that the entire braking system was modified to make the cars drive-able without ABS. As the whole point of switching to GT3 was to reign in costs this idea was shelved. So it'll be interesting to see how LMU manages this change to GT3. If you can turn off the ABS in the GT3 class and get consistently faster laps than with it on, then I'm probably going to say that this would be unrealistic.

What is the situation with the game assists atm pal? Stopped playing a while ago when it became apparent ABS and Stab Control were making people faster in lobbies.

The aston is slow but doesnt kill its tires when driven hard. Put on mediums for long races and watch the other cars having to pit... but yeah, the aston is way to slow. Also there are GTE cars.... ABS is not allowed.

I was 100% of time on ACC and now im 100% of time in LMU. I love it.
